I LOST MY JOB
I lost my job, it hurts so much; I know not where to turn.
My life is badly out of touch; My stomach constant churn.
It is humiliation time; I did not see it coming.
My money’s gone, have not a dime; My anger still is fuming.
I envy those who have a job; They seem so sure, secure.
My heart breaks out in halting sob; The future is unsure.
I do believe this is a test; The hand of God prevails.
He knows for me what is the best; When all else falls and fails.
I know my life is at a turn; A different way must go.
My talents will but prove to earn; New ventures He will show.
God moves in a mysterious way; I follow where He leads.
Next job may have a different pay; But blessings meet my needs.
I thank my God for His great love; Is with me day by day.
He blesses me from heaven above; My task is to obey.
I praise the Lord, He’s in my heart; He will not ever leave.
Each morn He’s with me when I start; This firmly I believe.
